About RNTC

Approach

Over the years RNTC has developed its own working methods. RNTC does not believe in fixed recipes. Broadcast media are part of the culture of society. Different cultures require different styles and approaches.

Participatory approach

RNTC believes in participatory approaches. Consultation and close cooperation with those involved is essential if the needs and priorities of local partners and target groups are to be answered correctly. We involve clients and partners in every aspect of a programme: from design through developent to implementation. By working closely together, we ensure that what we do will be effective.

Learning by doing
The RNTC methodology combines theory with practice. Research shows that most adults learn best when teaching is done hands-on. That is, participate actively in a given situation or scenario, rather than passively following a series of lectures. When people discover things for themselves, rather than being instructed in something, they can relate to what they learn. This makes it easier for them to apply what they have learned in real-life situations and transfer it to others.

Quality
We believe that quality and sustainability can best be achieved if activities are strategically embedded in a longer term plan. This means that RNTC favours activities that are spread out over a number of years, rather than one-off activities without any follow-up.

ISO certified Quality Management System
RNTC Hilversum is ISO 9001 : 2008 certified which means its Quality Management System is at the highest standard. We are reviewed yearly by internal and external auditors.
